Mariner wins Lynnwood Classic | Prep wrestling

The Mariner wrestling team traveled to Lynnwood on Saturday, Dec. 21 for the Lynnwood Classic wrestling tournament.

The Marauders won the tournament with a team score of 160.5 points, while league rival Cascade took second with 156.5.

Individually, Brandon Johnson won the 106-weight division, while Tristin Huggins was second in the 120 bracket. Kevin Mach finished the 126 division in third place, with Jermaine Bradley finishing in fourth place in the 160-weight class.

Ali Mahdi finished in third place in the 170 bracket, with Chris Best taking third in the 182-weight class. Edgars Plornish finished in second place in the 195 division, Daniel Huynh was second in the 220 weight class and Francisco Flores won the 285 bracket.

The Marauders will take a break for the holidays before participating in the Everett Classic on Jan. 4.
