Market set to open June 6
June is right around the corner and that means that it is time for the Mukilteo Farmers Market to open for the 2012 season.
This year, the market’s first day will be Wednesday, June 6 from 3-7 p.m. at Lighthouse Park. If the sun gods continue to shine, June should bring lots of fresh vegetables as well as strawberries. It’s been a long fall and winter for people who enjoy locally grown produce.
Most of last year’s vendors will be returning, and there will be the addition of some great new vendors.
Sky Valley Farms will offer both fresh chicken and duck eggs. A new bakery, Tall Grass Bakery, will be selling breads as well as granola. Other new vendors will be supplying Middle Eastern food, cupcakes, African sauces, corn and potato roasters – even treats for all your pets.
Please note: These are all small, local businesses that need community support or they will not be returning to the Mukilteo market.
The market operates Wednesdays from 3-7 p.m. June 6 through Sept. 26. A shuttle to and from the market will be available at 3rd and Lincoln.
