Master Gardener sale on Saturday

A low-cost opportunity to get your summer garden going takes place Saturday, May 5, when the Snohomish County Master Gardener Foundation presents its annual Spring Plant Sale.

Scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the sale takes place at WSU Snohomish County Extension, 600 128th St. SE, McCollum Park, in South Everett.

More than 4,000 vegetable and herb starts will be available, including basil, cucumbers, peppers, squash, lettuce and more, as well as 5,000 tomato plants.

In addition, there also will be perennials, hardy fuchsias, geraniums, hostas, shade plants, ground covers, trees, shrubs, native plants and ornamental grasses.

Specialty vendors also will participate, including Blueberries, Keeping It Green Nursery, Oudean’s Willow Creek Nursery, White Picket Garden, Dalia Tubers, Namaste Gardens, and Sydney Acres.

Master gardeners will be available in all areas to answer questions, including a Master Gardener booth to showcase the group’s many talents.
