Mosque meeting postponed until January | Letter

Oct 12, 2016

Editor, The Beacon:

The following is an open letter to the Mukilteo community:

We regret to inform our fellow residents that we are still revising construction plans to build a mosque on Harbour Pointe Boulevard. We are also in the process of negotiations to buy the land adjacent to the property.

Therefore, we are postponing a town hall meeting about the Islamic Center of Mukilteo until January of next year. A date and time have yet to be determined.

Thank you so much for everyone's cooperation and understanding. In the meantime, residents may go to or email for more information.

Mohammed Riaz Khan,

Muslim Association of Seattle
