Improve balance and increase self-confidence in performing daily activities in this research-based fall prevention program that uses the principles and movements of Tai Chi.
Involves weight-bearing and non-weight bearing stances, postural alignment, coordinated movements and synchronized breathing.
This exercise program has been recommended by the Center For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as an effective community-based intervention to prevent falls for older adults. Registration required.
First sessions meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, Jan. 8-Feb. 14 from 10:30-11:30 a.m., cost $82R/$94NR.
