Mukilteo falls to Holy Names in first game of season | Girls prep lacrosse

The girls lacrosse season for Mukilteo started on Wednesday, March 12 with a loss to Holy Names.

The final score was 14-7 for the Cougars.

Holy Names led the game 11-5 after the first half, with Holy Names adding three goals in the second half to Mukilteo's two.

Melissa Reeves scored two goals and had one ground ball for Mukilteo during the game, while Cheyenne McManus added two goals and one draw control. Madison Rutledge posted two goals with one caused turnover, Melanie Rizzotti had one goal and seven draw controls with one caused turnover, while goalie Kennedy Newman made eight saves.

The Knights, now 0-1 this season, will play Lakeside on Tuesday, March 18 in an 8 p.m. game at Kamiak High School.
