Mukilteo Mardi Gras benefit is Feb. 9
Mardi Gras is in Mukilteo again this year.
The Mukilteo Mardi Gras dinner and auction to benefit the Japanese Gulch Group is set for 5-10 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Rosehill Community Center.
This festive event features a New Orleans style dinner catered by Shawn O’Donnell’s restaurant and silent and live auctions.
This is the Japanese Gulch Group’s second Mardi Gras event. Funds raised will go toward the preservation and maintenance of the gulch.
More than 100 goods and services will be up for bid in the silent and live auctions, including vacations, fishing and crabbing adventures, a maple tree, an instant wine cellar of wine, artwork and these hot-ticket items:
• Full orthodontic treatment by Dr. Jacqueline de Leon-Estes of Harbour Pointe Orthodontics valued at $6,000;
• Security system and full year of monitoring by Evergreen Security;
• Latte a day for a year from Red Cup Café;
• $1,500 total facial esthetics makeover from Jennifer Voke, DDS.
In addition to the auctions, there will be a dessert dash – where table guests bid together to raise the most funds for the chance to “dash” for the best dessert – as well as hurricane drinks and a photo booth to create Mardi Gras memories.
