Mukilteo orthodontist Dr. Jacqueline de Leon-Estes has a lot to celebrate this year.

Not only is Harbour Pointe Orthodontics celebrating its 10-year anniversary of being in practice but Dr. de Leon again made the list of Top Dentists in Seattle Metropolitan magazine.

Dr. de Leon was recently recognized for the third time by Seattle Met as a top orthodontist in the Seattle area.

“I owe the honor to my colleagues, staff, patients, friends and family,” she said. “They have shown her the utmost care. I appreciate their trust and confidence in me.”

The Top Dentists list is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey, in which hundreds of dentists and specialists throughout the Seattle area participate.

Dr. de Leon was a dental associate and then a general dentist in her own practice for several years before deciding to specialize in orthodontics. She received her master’s in orthodontics at the University of Minnesota.

She married and moved to be with her husband in Washington in 2002. A year later, she had her own practice in Harbour Pointe.

Dr. de Leon is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontist, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontist, Washington State Dental Association and Snohomish County Dental Society.

She also is a member of a local study club with orthodontists, where they discuss cases, and practice management and the newest techniques in orthodontics.

Another celebration of Harbour Pointe Orthodontics’ 10th year anniversary will be held during its Patient Appreciation Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 13.
