Mukilteo schools to stay in 4A classification | Sports brief

By Megan Managan | Nov 26, 2013

Both Kamiak and Mariner high schools will continue to be 4A schools, based on the new data released by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association last week.

The reclassification numbers will be used during the 2014-2016 school years. Classifications are based on the schools enrollment.

Kamiak has 1,809 students, while Mariner has 1,796.

While Mukilteo schools will remain in the same classifications, four other schools in the Wesco conference are likely to change leagues. Glacier Peak and Marysville-Getchell are likely to move up to 4A, while Lynnwood and Arlington would become 3A schools. Both schools could choose to opt-up in order to remain 4A if they choose.
