Mukilteo students earn All-Wesco team honors | Sports brief

Students from Kamiak and Mariner high school were named to the All-Wesco teams, highlighting top players in the conference this fall. Voting is done by conference coaches.

In volleyball, Kamiak libero Meghan Hayes was named to the first team.

Second team honors for Kamiak went to: Kathryn Anderson, a sophomore outside hitter and Rian Larsen, a senior middle blocker.

Morgan Stanley and Alison Cantarano both earned honorable mentions for Kamiak.

In girls soccer, Kamiak's Anne Ferguson earned first team honors as a defender. Christine Heisen, Baylie Lux-Lowry, Tylor Adcock all earned second team honors for Kamiak.

Alexie Morris, Shannon Peth, Chardalise Madrigal, Brelyn Jussman and Amanada Gonzalez all earned honorable mentions for Kamiak.

In boys tennis, Dominic Lee and Garrett Peterson of Kamiak earned first team honors for doubles, while Jimmy Hua earned the first team singles honor.

In cross country, Kamiak's Jerry Behrens, Seth Villanueva, Ben Halladay, Molly McEachern and Nicole Vijgen all earned second team honors, while Cullen McEachern, Esmeralda Bonilla, Heather Pearson and Brittney Friend were given honorable mentions.

Mariner's Abbie Steinhauer earned second team honors for the Marauders.

In girls swimming, first team honors went to Mariner's Brianna Lucien for the 500 freestyle, and Kamiak's Angeline Dovinh in the 100 free and Laura Johnson in the 100 butterfly.

Kamiak's 200 freestyle relay team of Dovinh, Johnson, Haley Lasley and Ingrid Straume earned first team honors, while the 400 freestyle relay team of Dovinh, Johnson, Lyndsey Willis and Straume also earned first team honors.

In football, first team honors on offense for Kamiak went to Henderson Belk, Jacob Meuse, while defensive first team honors went to Jordan Mochmar, Belk, Brady Methven and Tyler Webley.

Second team honors went to: Joesph Binda, Nick Taglialavore, Oleg Avramenko and Tom Batie. Austin Hall earned an honorable mention.

For Mariner, first team honors went to Joshua Williams and Curtis Billen on offense, Adrian Releford on defense. Dyonte Law, Glory Bukas and Greg Whitaker earned second team honors, while Connor Griffin earned honorable mention.
