National Merit commends 10 Kamiak students | School brief
National Merit Scholarship competition has commended 10 Kamiak High School seniors.
Those students are Elyssa Ayson, Jessica Bae, Joseph Kamp, Kristina Kim, Millicent Li, Mallory Pennington, Grace Schroeder, Brian Tran, Corbin Wheeler and Eric Wills.
The 10 students are among 34,000 seniors throughout the nation who have been recognized for their exceptional academic promise.
Although they will not continue in the 2016 competition for National Merit scholarship awards, they are among the top 5 percent of more than 1.6 million students who entered the 2017 competition.
This distinction is determined by scores on the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test from their junior year.
