No fireworks or other flammables on the bus

Even the “safe and sane” fireworks sold in some communities can be a safety hazard
Jun 25, 2013

With the approach of Independence Day, Community Transit would like to remind you that fireworks are not allowed on the agency’s buses or at any agency property, including park & ride lots.

While Community Transit buses operate near fireworks stands, riders cannot carry the fireworks onto buses at any time.

Even the “safe and sane” fireworks sold in some communities can be a safety hazard. Community Transit also does not allow other potentially dangerous material, including:

  • Fuels like gasoline, diesel and propane, or containers that once carried these fuels
  • Hazardous chemicals
  • Explosives
  • Illegal weapons

Thanks for doing your part to keep everyone safe as we celebrate the July 4th holiday!
