The Olympic View Marching Band & Drill Team earned first place out of all middle schools at the Autumn Leaf Festival parade in Leavenworth Sept. 24.

Autumn Leaf held the largest parade of the three-day festival's history – there were a record 92 groups marching the streets of Leavenworth.

The annual trip to perform in the Leavenworth parade was organized by band director Jeff Ray and the Olympic View Music Boosters. Many from the OV community drove to Leavenworth to cheer on the band.

The first-place trophy is on display in the main office of the middle school.

The Bavarian themed festival was held Sept. 23-26. Founded in 1964, Leavenworth’s Autumn Leaf Festival celebrates the turning colors of the autumn leaves.
