Feb 20, 2014

The Everett Clinic in Mukilteo welcomes pediatric nurse practitioner Ellyn Cavanagh.

Cavanagh will see patients at The Everett Clinic Harbour Pointe Pediatrics at 4430 106th St. S.W. in Mukilteo, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

She has special interest and expertise in assisting children and their families with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and autism spectrum disorders.

“I began my career in neonatal intensive nursing and discovered that many children survived an immediate, life-threatening disease only to go on to face developmental delays,” Cavanagh said. “I began studying with the goal of ensuring that each child receives the developmental support they need to thrive.”

Cavanagh has worked with autism teams at Georgetown University and the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and served as faculty for the University of New Hampshire’s Leadership in Education and Neurodevelopmental Disorders program.

She was also a practitioner in the Pediatric Psychopharmacology Clinic at Seattle Children’s Hospital under the guidance of Dr. Christopher Varley.

Cavanagh earned her Ph.D., master's and bachelor's degrees in nursing at the University of Washington.

She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, National Society of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association and National League of Nursing.
