In celebration of its first anniversary, DesiLu’s Pet Boutique in Mukilteo recently held a charity raffle – the prize being a canvas portrait of the winner’s dog painted by local artist Carol Dillon.

The winner of the raffle is Carolyn Wies of Mukilteo. She will receive a custom dog portrait of her pet shih tzu named Maggie.

Dillon’s artwork was also featured in an art exhibit at the boutique this October.

Nationally renowned artist Carol Dillon creates custom dog portraits on canvas in acrylics. She studied art at the Burnley School of Professional Art in Seattle.

All proceeds from the raffle tickets – totaling $115 – went to the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) of Everett.

ARF was established in 2005 to support the work of the Everett Animal Shelter, Snohomish County’s largest and only open-admission shelter. ARF raises awareness and funding for the important work it does for animals and the community.
