Philharmonic finale features Beethoven favorites
Celebrate an early Mother’s Day at the Everett Philharmonic’s season finale on May 11.
The Everett Philharmonic Orchestra, under the musical direction of Paul-Elliott Cobbs, will perform Listener’s Choice selections in a concert at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, in Everett’s Civic Auditorium.
This concert showcases Ludwig von Beethoven’s majestic “Mass in C” featuring the Pacific Lutheran University Choral Union and their famed Choir of the West, as well as Beethoven’s “Symphony No 9.”
“This is definitely a performance of grandest stature,” said Maestro Cobbs of the upcoming performance. “The Mass and Symphony have been requested by so many of our audience members and rightfully so. Beethoven is incomparable. The season finale concert promises to be the most exciting of the year.”
Richard Nance, choral director at Pacific Lutheran University, will conduct the orchestra together with the PLU choirs during the “Mass in C.”
The Everett Philharmonic brings its third season to a close with this concert. Tickets for next season will be available.
Tickets are $25 each, or $20 for seniors and students. Tickets are available online at www.everettphil.org or by calling 206-270-9729.
