Raise a glass of local libations at 2nd-annual tasting event | Chamber Corner
On April 13, 5-8 p.m., the Chamber will hold their second-annual Cheers! Mukilteo at the Future of Flight, on the Strato Deck at Paine Field.
Join us, and enjoy live music at this extravaganza featuring wine/distillery/craft beer tastings from eight different wineries, three distilleries and local powerhouse, Diamond Knot Craft Brewing. Pair your libations with light bites from four fabulous local eateries: Alexa’s Catering, Jimmy Mac’s Roadhouse, Garlic Jim’s and Northwest Biscotti.
You will have the opportunity to write down your favorites and visit our Wine Store to purchase any of the samplings that catch your attention. This will be an opportune time to shop for your personal collection, as a discount will be offered for wine purchases by the case (mixed choices available).
To add to this evening’s enjoyment, new this year, Cheers! Mukilteo attendees will have the opportunity to pay for samples and vote for Mukilteo’s Best Bloody Mary. While some may think of a Bloody Mary as a brunch cocktail, the rest of us know that this legendary drink can be enjoyed any time of the day.
We want to celebrate this beloved cocktail, and bring recognition to the most innovative and crafty Bloody Mary mixes created by local area bartenders and mixologists. The contest will be held between Ivar’s Mukilteo Landing, Red Cork Bistro, The Scotsman Bistro, The Pointes Restaurant, and Diamond Knot Taproom. Just who will be the Top Tomato for 2017?
A panel of judges will curate these concoctions, assessing presentation, uniqueness, taste, garnish, texture and diversity. But, never fear Bloody Mary aficionados, there will be a People’s Choice category for attendees who wish to pay for tasting tickets and weigh in, casting a ballot for their number one choice.
While you are wandering around between bites and beverages, be sure and peruse the Silent Auction and Raffle. There will be a wide array of themed baskets including a separately raffled basket with a two-day stay on the lovely Oregon coast, complete with two hotel nights, dinner out, entry into several area activities and a beautiful glass float.
Tickets are available online for $20 ($25 at the door) and include entry into the event, eight tasting tickets (not including the Bloody Mary Contest), a commemorative glass, live music, bites, opportunities for raffle items, and a great way to mix and mingle with area-wide business leaders and friends.
