Red Curtain holding auditions for 'Laura' Nov. 20-21
Red Curtain Productions has announced auditions for its next play, the film noir-style thriller "Laura," written by Vera Caspary and directed by Scott B. Randall.
Auditions are set for Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 20 and 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., downtown Everett.
Come prepared with a dramatic monologue which shows a strong character type. To request an audition time, send an email to email@example.com and include a copy of your headshot and resume.
SYNOPSIS: When Mark McPherson first falls in love with Laura Hunt, he knows he's in love with a phantom — for Laura is dead, and he's in charge of her murder investigation.
From her portrait, her letters, her personal effects and from his contacts with the three men who loved her, Mark has created an image of a woman tantalizingly alive and real.
As the story progresses, Mark discovers lies, infidelities, and hidden identities, all leading him away from finding the real murderer.
This play is riddled with surprises, full of dynamic characters and written with rich, fast-moving dialogue to keep audiences entertained and guessing "whodunnit" right up until the final scene.

The show runs Jan. 25- Feb. 10, with a possible extension through Feb. 17, also at the Historic Everett Theatre. Rehearsals will be in the Everett area. This is a community theatre production and does not pay.
