Residents offered chance to prepare for disastersThe roundtable will be followed by a citizen‐preparedness class.
Snohomish County will co‐host a one‐day emergency preparedness roundtable designed to help community residents better prepare for a disaster.
A cross‐section of citizens, emergency management professionals and representatives from business and government will discuss actions residents and organizations can take to become a more resilient community during short‐term and long‐term emergencies. The roundtable will be followed by a citizen‐preparedness class.
The May 11 event is free with lunch provided and will be held at the Fitness Center of Everett Community College, located on the corner of Tower Street and Waverly Avenue.
The roundtable will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the preparedness class following from 2 to 4 p.m.
Residents interested in attending either or both parts of the event are asked to RSVP by Friday, May 4, by emailing Dara Salmon at firstname.lastname@example.org.
