Rotary Club recognizes Kamiak senior
Tori Niewohner was recently named the Kamiak High School October Student of the Month by the South Everett-Mukilteo Rotary Club.
Tori is a senior at Kamiak, where she was nominated for the award by the teaching staff and academic counselors.
Surrounded by her grandmother and counselor at the club’s weekly meeting, Tori was presented with a plaque in recognition of her academic achievements and hard work.
Tori is involved in many extracurricular activities at Kamiak including Pre-Med Club, National Honor Society, and as a director of Dramafest. She has been involved in the Drama program all four years at Kamiak.
In the classroom, she has managed to maintain a GPA of 3.93.
Tori will graduate in June next year. Upon graduation, Tori plans to go to Washington State University.
She was nominated for the Regents Scholar and said she hopes to get a degree in zoology and attend graduate school to become a veterinarian.
She said she ultimately would like to rehabilitate wildlife as a career.
