Amanda Dahl was named the South Everett-Mukilteo Rotary Club’s November Student of the Month for Kamiak High School.

Amanda, a Kamiak senior, was nominated for the award by the Kamiak teaching staff. At the club’s weekly meeting, Amanda was presented with a plaque in recognition of her academic achievements and hard work.

Amanda is a well-rounded student. Along with being an AP scholar with honors, she has been on active dance team member all four years. She has also been one of Kamiak’s “Academic Coaches,” which is a program that helps tutor younger students in nearby schools.

She has also found time to volunteer at Providence hospital and is maintaining a 3.98 GPA.

Amanda will graduate in June. She hasn’t yet decided on a college, but would like to focus her studies on either pre-medicine or biology with the goal of someday becoming a doctor.
