Schack Teen Nights return for school year | A&E brief

Schack Art Center invites local teens to the first Open Studio Night for Teens of the 2016-17 school year from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13.

Schack Teen Nights are free, after-hours events with up to four different hands-on art projects where teens get to work with local artists, while enjoying refreshments and watching glassblowing demonstrations.

The Oct. 13 event, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Everett, features fall and Halloween-inspired projects led by Anna Mastronardi Novak, Julie Perrine, Shannon Danks and the Sisters Grimm.

All events are held from 6-8 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month unless otherwise noted*. Each Teen Night is free thanks to local sponsorships.

Additional Teen Nights planned for the 2016-17 school year are Nov. 10, Dec. 8, Feb. 9, March 16*, April 13 and May 11. Participating artists and projects are announced a few weeks before each event.
