School Board Report for April 8
During its meeting on April 8, the Mukilteo School Board did the following:
Recognized three students for their outstanding achievements. Honored were Shawn Moan of the Community-Based Transition Center, Sofia Carlo of Harbour Pointe Middle School, and Cody Munguia of Discovery Elementary School.
Approved the adoption of new instructional materials for fourth grade reading and writing and for secondary social studies, world history, U.S. history, economics, civics/government and civics/law, Washington state studies, contemporary world issues, comparative history of ideas, AP European History, AP Human Geography and AP American Government classes.
Heard staff reports about and discussed the following: a state study and survey that provides information about the condition of school facilities, a summary of financial results during second quarter of the current fiscal year, and a report on state budget information.
During a work session held before the regular business meeting, school board members discussed facilities planning.
