School Board Report for Oct. 14
During its meeting on Oct. 14, the Mukilteo School Board did the following:
Passed a resolution certifying that the school district’s maximum levy authority for the Educational Maintenance and Operations Levy to be about $36.5 million in 2014. Voters had approved a collection of $39.5 million for 2014, but the school district is not able to collect that full amount because of the state levy lid.
Approved a three-year collective bargaining agreement between the Sno-Isle Technical Skills Center and the Sno-Isle Technical Skills Center Federation of Teachers, AFT #4087, which represents the instructors at the Sno-Isle Technical Skills Center.
Heard staff reports about and discussed the following: the school district’s enrollment count for October, activities that occurred during the staff training day on Oct. 4, proposed projects to be included in a construction bond measure, and preliminary recommendations for a replacement Educational Maintenance and Operations Levy that would begin in 2015.
