The Snohomish County Search and Rescue Unit has been receiving emergency beacon alerts near Mt. Persis from a 39 year-old male from Seattle.

It is unknown whether the man is injured or lost.

The emergency beacon was first triggered at around 10:30 p.m. last night from a location at around 2400 feet in elevation on Mt. Persis, which is just north of Mt. Index in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.

SAR has mobilized the Mountain Rescue Team and rescue helicopter, SNOHAWK.

The teams are standing by until daylight, due to difficult terrain.
