Sewer work to close part of Mukilteo Lane for 4 days
Installation of a sewer manhole as part of the new ferry terminal’s sewer construction is expected to close a section of Mukilteo Lane for four days.
The closure is expected to begin Monday, April 17. It would restrict vehicle traffic along Mukilteo Lane between Japanese Gulch and the road’s connection to 2nd Street on the south end.
Strider Construction of Bellingham will be installing the manhole for the Mukilteo Water and Wastewater District.
A pedestrian passage route will be marked around excavation area for safe passage.
The exact dates of the temporary closure could change as a result of BNSF train schedules.
