Shots fired in EverettEverett Police responded to reports of shots fired at a moving vehicle in Everett
At about 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, officers responded to the 2200 block of Hoyt Avenue when numerous witnesses called 911 after observing a male fire multiple rounds at a passing vehicle.
According to Everett Police spokesman Aaron Snell, arriving officers found bullet casings in the roadway.
Witnesses said a male came out of a residence, fired shots at a passing vehicle, then ran back toward the residence.
Snell said that officers secured the area and detained multiple people from inside the residence but did not find the shooting suspect.
The passing vehicle left the scene, and its occupants have not called 911 to report the incident.
dWitnesses describe the shooter as a black male about 17 years old.
No one was injured during the incident, Snell said.
One of the detained males was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail for outstanding warrants.
