More than 30 Kamiak High School students participated in a Hugs for Ghana indoor soccer fundraiser at the Everett Soccer Arena on Dec. 28.

Hugs for Ghana is a student-led organization dedicated to supporting children in Ghana, West Africa and local communities.  The students donated a portion of their admission fee to the organization, raising more than $300.

Kamiak junior Bill Cho (top row, second from left) organized the event.  "It was great to see so many people getting together to both help those in Ghana, as well as spread awareness for them, all the while playing a sport they enjoy,” Bill said.
