Spring cleaning for Clothes for KidsClothes for Kids has been serving Snohomish County since 1984
As spring approaches and the weather starts to warm, kids and their parents are thinking about shorts, swimsuits and spring dresses.
Clothes For Kids could use your gently used children’s clothing including shorts, t-shirts, swimsuits, dresses and flip flops and spring is a great time to clean out the dresser drawers and closets and donate those items to students who can really use them.
Clothes for Kids has been serving Snohomish County since 1984, as a non-profit organization providing wardrobes for low-income families.
We have experienced a significant growth in clients over the past two years and the need for clothing is greater than ever.
“Providing spring and summer clothing to students in preschool through twelfth grade allows their families to focus their limited resources in other areas and helps students to end the school year on a positive note” said Nancy Laird-Burris, Program Manager for Clothes For Kids.
“We operate on a shoe-string budget, it is through our generous clothing donors that we are able to continue to grow our services and meet the needs of even more children” Rob Schwertley, Clothes for Kids Interim Board President.
New in-kind donations total more than $150,000 annually and gently used clothing helps to fill in the much needed sizes and current styles that students like to have.
With many families feeling the effects of this difficult economy, this is a great time to support our community.
On March 1, Clothes for Kids opened for Spring and Summer shopping and will be opened until May 23rd. Donations are accepted throughout the year. Please go to www.clothesforkids.org for more information.
