Stolen Vehicle Recovery – arrest made

The suspect was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on charges of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of a Controlled Substance

On May 2, 2012 at approximately 1:30 a.m., Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of a stolen cargo trailer in the 12700 block of Ruggs Lake Road, Everett.

While enroute to the location, a deputy spotted the stolen trailer being pulled by a Jeep Cherokee near 116th Street Southeast and 31st. Avenue Southeast.

When the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, it began to flee from the location.

As the suspect attempted to make a turn, he rolled the stolen trailer onto its side.

The suspect then fled from the location of the accident on foot.  Several Sheriff’s Office patrol units provided containment and a K-9 was brought in to track the suspect.

The suspect was apprehended while hiding on the roof of an occupied residence in the 11500 block of 28th Drive Southeast.

Further investigation revealed the Jeep Cherokee was a reported stolen vehicle with switched license plates.

The suspect, a 40 year old male from Everett, was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on charges of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
