Take 6: The most wonderful time of the year

The a cappella group Take 6 brings holiday classics to the Edmonds Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Take 6, the most awarded and biggest selling A capella group in the world, brings Christmas classics and original tunes featured on their numerous Grammy Award winning albums, to Edmonds Center for the Arts’ stage at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11.

It will certainly be “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year," the name of Take 6’s most recent Christmas compilation on which they lend their voices to timeless holiday songs for sale.

Take 6 has also become known for their interpretations of such classics as “Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy,” “You're a Cruel One, Mr. Grinch,” as well as the title track.

With 10 Grammy Awards, 10 Dove Awards, a Soul Train Award, 2 NAACP Image Awards, and numerous other honors, this group, comprised of Claude McKnight, Mark Kibble, Joel Kibble, Dave Thomas, Alvin Chea and Khristian Dentley, is busier than ever.

They have been celebrating their 25th anniversary on a world tour on which they perform all of their greatest hits from their array of 16 outstanding recordings, the latest of which is “One.”
