Ted Wheeler is the right choice | Letter

Oct 30, 2013

Editor, The Beacon:

Having worked side-by-side with Ted Wheeler the past two years on the Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival gave me the opportunity to work with a person with a high level of energy, passion and commitment to excellence in delivering to our community what we should all expect of those who volunteer their service to Mukilteo.

Ted is a problem solver, not a maker. He delivers on his promises, not just the minimum, but beyond one’s expectations.

For example, as the Lighthouse Festival Logistics Committee co-chair – using his hands-on business experience with people and equipment and his donations of vehicles, structures, tools and equipment, he helped reduce budgetary expenses and improve the festival’s layout (he’s a builder).

Bottom line, Ted is a three-dimensional person who can both see and understand issues within and outside the city that impact our community. He has the skill sets to deliver on his promises.

He has been a member of our community for a long time, and has not disappeared like his opponent after an election. Ted is in it for the long haul, as demonstrated by his active community involvement.

"...has not disappeared like his opponent after an election..."

Just for the record:  I have been busy in Mukilteo since the last election working for our Mukilteo Community Orchestra, Tails & Trails Dog Park, playing horn in MPC Brass Ensemble,  photographing community events - just to name a few of my local activities.
