Thanks to Mormon church for Day of Service | Letter
Editor, The Beacon:
The Mukilteo Parks and Arts Commission would like to extend our greatest thanks and recognition to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for its Day of Service.
On Sept. 14, a group of volunteers from the LDS Church held a Day of Service for our city. This was their third year in a row of doing this. To us and the community it is a Day of Appreciation.
These volunteers did a lot of trail work in Big Gulch and cleaned the green slime mildew off of the Big Gulch fence railing along the Speedway.
The work and time you gave is invaluable. Whenever a person or group helps in some way of helping our parks and arts culture, they are an extension of the Parks and Arts Commission.
We come up with ideas and recommendations for improvements, and when citizens donate/help with improvements it means that we are all working as one, to make the community a better place.
It takes a village!
