National best-selling author Nancy Horan will be the featured speaker at the Mukilteo Schools Foundation’s annual breakfast.

This year's event will be held Friday, Nov. 11, at the Future of Flight Aviation Center at Paine Field.

Horan is the author of two widely acclaimed novels: “Loving Frank,” which tells a little-known story in the life of the legendary American architect Frank Lloyd Wright and his client, Mamah Borthwick Cheney, and “Under the Wide and Starry Sky,” which explores the unlikely relationship between the famed author Robert Louis Stevenson and his spirited American wife, Fanny Van de Grift Stevenson.

Proceeds for the fundraising event will be used to support classroom grants as well as other efforts that encourage and reward excellence, while supporting innovation and creativity in Mukilteo classrooms.

Tickets are $50 a seat or $375 for a table of eight and can be purchased through the foundation’s website at

The Future of Flight Aviation Center is at 8415 Paine Field Blvd. in Mukilteo.
