10:15-11:30 a.m. in the large meeting room at the Lynnwood Library (19200 44th Ave W. in Lynnwood). Join the Northshore Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol, a volunteer organization that is also the auxiliary of the US Air Force, to find out how aircraft power, pitch, and speed influence each other during flight. The object of this fun activity is to fly a toy airplane down a long nylon fish line and land it on a simulated runway in front of a pilot holding a joystick. Our program is not only for youth but also adults, and focuses on aerospace education, emergency services and the cadet program. More information: www.capnorthshore.org.
