Try suspension training at Quality Fitness open house
Quality Fitness in Mukilteo has added suspension training to its list of classes.
The studio will showcase its new TRX Suspension Trainers at an open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 21. The event is free.
Meet instructors and try out 30-minute sample classes (first come, first served). In addition to suspension training, visitors may sample several other fitness classes, including yoga, spinning, Zumba and sculpt and stretch.
Instructor David Matthews will guide the suspension training class. He is a certified personal trainer with a bachelor’s degree in fitness/wellness management.
Matthews will guide visitors through a range of exercises with the TRX trainers and explain how to build a rock-solid core, increase muscular strength and endurance, and how it can benefit people of all fitness levels.
Quality Fitness, owned and managed by Kay Peterson, is at 8221 44th Ave. West, Ste. E, Mukilteo in the Sterling Business Park.
“It strengthens your core and strengthens all your major muscle groups,” Peterson said of suspension training. “You can do most of it standing up, so you can do core strengthening without having to lie down on the floor.
“It’s functional training, too, so you control how much resistance you use, because you use your own body weight. You control how much you use and you control the position of your body, so it can be really easy or really advanced, depending on what you want to do.”
A schedule of classes is available on the Quality Fitness website at www.QualityFitnessMukilteo.com. For more information, call 425-347-5191.
