Vote to make Mukilteo a community | Letter
Editor, The Beacon:
For one who has lived on the boulevard side of 5th Street since I was 12 years old, I tend to relate to Mukilteo more than Everett.
There are many of us who attended schools in Mukilteo, had their first jobs at Taylor’s, the Seahorse or McConnell’s Boathouse, who participated in Mukilteo Little League and Youth Soccer, who volunteer and participate at the Boys & Girls Club, and who feel that Mukilteo is our “community.”
Mukilteo citizens have a big choice this election to make sure that Mukilteo is still a community that is inclusive to all people. You have the choice of electing people who will make Mukilteo a community and not just a city where a few want their view of Mukilteo to be dominate.
I encourage you to vote for someone, who before they moved into Mukilteo, made it their community and a place that was inclusive to all people and ideas.
Terry Preshaw is someone who will represent all the citizens of Mukilteo as she will be open to new ideas, work with whomever it takes to make those ideas a reality, and make sure that the Mukilteo citizens’ best interests are being met without any personal agenda.
Vote Preshaw and vote to make Mukilteo an inclusive community – even for the ones who live on the boulevard side of 5th Street.
