Walk to raise awareness on Alzheimer’s
Hundreds of Snohomish County residents will unite in a movement to reclaim the future for millions at the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday, Sept. 8.
The 2012 Snohomish County Walk raised $31,911 contributing to more than $51.8 million raised nationwide for care, support and research efforts for those impacted by Alzheimer’s.
Participants will be able to learn more about Alzheimer’s disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical trial enrollment, and support programs and services.
Each walker also will join in a tribute ceremony to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by the opening ceremony at 9:45 a.m. The walk begins at 10 a.m.
It takes place at the Port of Everett, 1205 Craftsman Way, Everett.
