The Lynnwood Library will hold a discussion on civil rights at the Lynnwood Library, large meeting room, on March 14 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Maria Quintana will discuss the lives and achievements of women involved in the Seattle Civil Rights Movement via the Seattle Civil Rights and Labor History Project. The grassroots online project is an important resource for exploring the civil rights activism of women in the Pacific Northwest, showcasing Western Washington’s unique civil rights history.
Maria L. Quintana is a Ph.D. candidate in History at the University of Washington, with primary fields in twentieth-century U.S. history and comparative colonialism.
Maria’s scholarly interests include critical race studies, social movements, gender, and labor studies.
