Yes, there is a Santa Claus | Letter
Editor, The Beacon:
While purchasing a few groceries on Dec. 22 at about 2 p.m., I was parked in the Albertson's parking lot off the Speedway.
As I was browsing through the aisles, I heard an announcement regarding a vehicle in the parking lot. I finally realized they were identifying my car and asking the owner to come forward.
Upon going to customer service, I was informed that someone had bumped into my car. He had left his license number and was waiting in the parking lot.
As I went into the parking lot, I told the driver I had been informed he had backed into my car. He stated that he had.
We checked over my car and found no damage to the bumper where he said he had hit it.
I thanked him for being such an honest person and bringing this to the attention of the Albertson's staff and patiently waiting for me to come out to the parking lot.
When I went back into Albertson's, I explained to several of the staff that "Yes, there is a Santa Claus."
This made my day to have experienced meeting a gentleman with the character and honesty to come forward in this situation.
If he were to read this, I want to thank him again and let him know how much I appreciated his integrity. There are good people in our community and I met one that day.
