Many thanks for Earth Day event

On behalf of Kiwanis Club of Mukilteo and the Mukilteo Community Garden, we want to thank the 30-plus volunteers who spent the Saturday before Easter helping us prepare the food bank beds for seeding.

Other tasks that needed to be done were weeding, mulching, moving and replacing new straw bales.

The group of Key Club volunteers from Mariner and Kamiak High School were amazing!  They were fun, enthusiastic and helped us get a lot of work done.

A BIG thank you to Tony McNulty (Papa Murphy's Pizza) for providing us with delicious pizza at lunchtime.

As I have said so many times before, "It takes a village" to make wonderful events come to fruition in our community.

Our garden volunteers have been involved since the very beginning of the community garden in 2009.

This year, the MCG marks the 10th anniversary, and will be one of the featured gardens on the Mukilteo Quilt & Garden in July.

Thank you so much for your continued support.
