This year’s Celtic Christmas concert at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church concert, “Stille Nacht (Silent Night”) features a varied program of European- and Celtic-infused Christmas music featuring the international ensemble of Irish flutist Brian Dunning, German and American vocalists Marc Gremm and Jane Marie Chvatal, with American keyboardist and vocalist Jeff Johnson.

The show is 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10. St. Alban’s is at 21405 82nd Place, Edmonds. Admission is a donation to benefit Chase Lake Community School's Safety Net program.

Last year’s year had 175 attendees and raised $2,300. The concert is underwritten by St. Alban’s Endowment Fund, with money donated going to benefit the school.

Over the years, the ensemble has developed a unique blend of contemporary Celtic, Classical and Sacred styles in concerts throughout Germany and in the USA, including a rare performance at Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria in 2009.

The evening also will feature a blend of music from Johnson and Dunning’s instrumental recordings and vocal material from the quartet’s recording, “Antiphon.”

The Safety Net program is aimed at meeting basic needs of Chase Lake families who live below the poverty level, with food, clothing and extra help with homework.
