Classic Beatles with view and instrument petting zoo

Jun 27, 2012

Overlooking Puget Sound, Gene Nastri School Faculty members Josh Zimmerman, guitar and keyboard; Al Smith, guitar and bass, and Rachael Beaver, cello and vocals perform Classic Beatles, at noon Wednesday, July 11, on the Rosehill Community Center Plaza, 304 Lincoln Ave. Mukilteo.

Their performance will be followed by an Instrument Petting Zoo where everyone who loves music, child or adult, is invited to put hands on instruments of the band/orchestra and, under the guidance of trained musicians, to see what sounds they can produce.

Come, bring a picnic lunch and the kids, and enjoy your favorite Beatles songs; Eleanor Rigby, Come Together, A Hard Day's Night, Hey Jude, Yesterday, Norwegian Wood and more.

It’s all free and open to the public.

The performance is in partnership with Mukilteo Recreation and Cultural Services Department.

String instruments are provided by Hammond-Ashley in Issaquah, and wind instruments by Kennelly Keys in Everett.

Teachers are Gene Nastri School Faculty, the Kamiak High School Music Service Club, and members of the Mukilteo Community Orchestra.
