Edmonds-Woodway beats Kamiak 3-1 to advance to district title game | Girls prep soccer

The Edmonds-Woodway girls soccer team beat Kamiak in the 4A District semifinals on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The Warriors won 3-1.

Rylee Peterson scored two goals during the game for the Warriors, while teammate Hannah Thuesen added the team’s other goal. Kamiak’s Emele Chaddock scored the Knights only goal of the game.

The Warriors, now 13-2-2 this season, will play Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 in the district title game at Goddard Field. The Warriors are guaranteed a spot in the 4A state tournament.

Kamiak will play Snohomish, also at Goddard Field, in a loser-out match on Nov. 7 at 5:30 p.m. The winner will play Issaquah on Nov. 9 with a shot to earn the final state berth.

The 4A state tournament begins Nov. 11.

Playoff information will be updated as the tournaments are played.
