Family night launches October 26 at Future of Flight Aviation Center

Oct 25, 2017

Friends, families and Galactic Empire Stormtroopers are invited to attend the new After-Hours Family Night in the Aerospace Gallery of the Future of Flight Aviation Center & Boeing Tour in Mukilteo.

General admission includes exploration of the Future of Flight exhibits with personalized tours of the International Space Station Destiny Module mockup exhibit, on loan from the Museum of Flight.

“This is a family oriented event that encourages a relaxed way to view a Hollywood block-buster with additional family-friendly activities, giveaways and toys, plus other prizes,” said Melvin Givens III, Institute of Flight associate manager of membership.

Dress in your favorite Star Wars costume (all ages) and enter to win a prize (children 13 and under). Enjoy popcorn, drinks and movie treats that will be available for purchase, plus gain access to the entire Aerospace Gallery.

“We will provide seating, but you are welcome to bring your own lawn chair, sleeping bag, bean bag, or sofa to relax on the Aerospace Gallery floor,” added Givens.

The featured movie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is a 2015 American epic space opera film co-written, co-produced and directed by J. J. Abrams. The sequel to 1983's Return of the Jedi, The Force Awakens is the first installment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy. It stars original Star Wars actors Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, plus Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, and Max von Sydow. Produced by Lucasfilm Ltd. and Bad Robot Productions with world-wide distribution by Walt Disney Productions, The Force Awakens was the first Star Wars film not produced by franchise-creator George Lucas.

Schedule:  Doors at the Aerospace Gallery open at 6 p.m.

It is suggested to arrive early for the best seats. The Force Awakens begins at 6:30 p.m. while the Future of Flight closes at 9 p.m.

General admission tickets for all ages are $2, and Institute of Flight members with cards, are free.  Register for tickets at:
