Local painter, Jason Otto, will open a show of his recent acrylic paintings beginning Thursday, April 5 in the Aerospace Gallery at the Future of Flight (FoF) Aviation Center & Boeing Tour.

Admission is free for this event and includes access to the Aerospace Gallery from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month through September 3, 2018.

Otto has lived in the Everett area for 30 years, more than 25 of them spent at Boeing as a software engineer.

“As a Boeing employee, I loved the energy of the factory.  I try to capture the vitality that takes place during the assembly of the aircraft where the orchestration of so many workers, parts, and operations is accomplished,” Otto said. “There is something dramatic in the industrial side of the process, before the finished product is shown to the public, which is really exciting.

“For me, it’s not just about recreating a scene on canvas, it’s about expressing an energy and mood through design and discovery.”
