‘God’s work. Our hands’ l Worship

By Pastor Arhiana Shek | Aug 22, 2018

This year’s, “God’s work. Our hands” will be Sunday, Sept, 9.

This day is an opportunity to celebrate who we are as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America – one church, freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor.

A dedicated day of service activities where ELCA congregations across the United States serve their communities.

Some examples of service activities include: making cards for neighbors in adult facilities, cleaning the school yard, adults reading to children in school or painting a community center. Trusting in God’s abundant grace every year on “God’s Work. Our hands” Sunday, thousands of Lutherans serve God through their communities.

In the past, Faith Lutheran has been involved in this day of service, I believe making prayer shawls for neighbors living in adult care facilities.

We can still participate on a later day in September or begin brainstorming for next year’s “God’s work. Our hands” Sunday.

What type of service activity or activities would be good for participants of all ages and abilities among us? Please reach out to me. I would like to hear your ideas!

Thank you your work every day to make your community a better place. May we do that together as God’s people called to love and serve the world God loves.
