Holiday cat adoption event coming soon in Harbour Pointe

Nov 22, 2017

The Community Cat Coalition is hosting its annual “Home for the Holidays” adoption event.

The goal of this event is to get as many cats and kittens adopted into new homes as possible.

Local rescue groups and independent rescuers have a lot of cats and kittens available for adoption.

All cats will be spayed or neutered and will be up-to-date on appropriate vaccinations.

Blankets and other cat-related items will also be available for purchase.

This is the 7th “Home for the Holidays” adoption event hosted by the Community Cat Coalition, which is a 501c3 Washington State non-profit.

This year’s event begins Friday Nov. 24.

It will be open every Saturday and Sunday on starting Nov. 25 through Dec. 23.

The Community Cat Coalition has been given the old Liquor Store at the north-end of Harbour Pointe Shopping Center rent-free for the adoption event.

Another event taking place will be the famous Internet cat Oskar, and his friend Klaus.

Oskar is a blind cat whose life his owners have documented online.

He and his friend Klaus will be there Dec. 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and attendees will have the opportunity to take photos of the cats.

There will also be a Christmas bake sale on Dec. 16.

Shaun and Tom from Canopy Cat Rescue will also being joining the event at a date to be determined. They were the stars of the Animal Planet channel’s “Tree Top Rescue.”
