Hundreds run amok through Mukilteo streets

Anthony Garcia and Micah Murphy earned top honors at the annual Run-A-Muk 5k and 10k races Saturday, Aug. 26, at Rosehill Community Center.

Garcia, 18, of Bothell finished first in Saturday’s 5k race with a time of 17 minutes, 30 seconds. Murphy, 15, of Lynnwood completed the 10k race in 38:42.

The top female finishers were Leah Clark, 16, of Edmonds, who won the 5k race in 19:56, and Charissa Steyn, 35, of Everett, who captured the 10k race in 39:45.

Female age group winners in the 5k were: Macey Stone of Marysville (1-10), Anika Nelson of Everett (11-14), Leah Clark of Edmonds (15-19), Shelly Davis of Seattle (20-29), Kristen Sauter of Seattle (30-39), Lisa Mueller of Mukilteo (40-49), Tamy Bagan of Bothell (50-59), Dorothy Henry of Renton (60-69), Bridjette March of Mukilteo (70-79), and Gail Everett of Edmonds (80+).

Female age group winners in the 10k were: Grace Brady of Mukilteo (11-14), Alicia Anderson of Mukilteo (15-19), Angelica Alicon of Everett (20-29), Charissa Steyn of Everett (30-39), Josie Braddock of Mukilteo (40-49), Cara Jolley of Freeland (50-59), and Jan Osterwald of Mukilteo (60-69).

Male age group winners in the 5k were: Liam Smith of Snohomish (1-10), Aiden Mueller of Mukilteo (11-14), Anthony Garcia of Bothell (15-19), Roger Klaaskate of Everett (20-29), Brett Schock of Bothell (30-39), Anthony Smith of Snohomish (40-49), John Pavelcik of Lynnwood (50-59), Steve Bertrand of Mukilteo (60-69), David Dorman of Lake Stevens (70-79), and Bill Iffrig of Lake Stevens (80+).

Male age group winners of the 10k were: Micah Murphy of Lynnwood (15-19), Joseph Davis of Everett (20-29), Gregory Kroleski of Seattle (30-39), Timothy Miller of Seattle (40-49), Geoff Miller of Seattle (50-59), Earle Oda of Lynnwood (60-69), Ron Fleming of Granger (70-79), and William Getz of Langley (80+).
