Join us sometime soon l Worship

By Arhiaha Shek, Faith Lutheran Church | Jan 10, 2018

Every Tuesday from 5 to 6 p.m., Faith Lutheran Church in Everett serves a free meal, and opportunities of fellowship to anyone in the community.

Members and friends of Faith Lutheran cook, serve and provide encouragement to all who attend.

When Faith Lutheran initiated this project several years ago, participants hoped to offer a free meal to anyone in need in the community.

What constitutes need?

For some people, the community meal represents one less dinner to provide for their families. For others who live alone, the community meal may mean sharing a table and conversation with others.

In both cases, our guests seem to be really appreciative.

In reality, we serve more than a delicious home cooked meal. Fellowship and new friendships also happen here.

Many of our guests attend regularly and often gather around the same table to catch up on the latest news. Other guests visit less frequently and are equally remembered.

After the meal has been served, members and friends of Faith Lutheran also have dinner, and connect with guests. Following a tasty desert some stay to visit a bit longer, others go home until the following week.

On Tuesday evenings at Faith Lutheran Church in Everett, anyone is welcome to partake in the community meal and fellowship.

Stories are shared, prayers are said, smiles shape some evenings and every so often tears are shed.

Overall hope comes through the relationships, and a plate of food prepared with love.

We invite you to join us sometime.
